Great stuff

"We like arugula so much, I have it in pots by the back door so we can easily pick it to add to sandwiches. Also excellent mixed in a lettuce salad. It does get quite peppery and rank when the weather is hot. Germinates very easily."

"This is my first year with a full vegetable garden and the reviews seemed good on this collection. Well, the plants certainly lived up to the expectation! The new plants arrived in perfect condition with excellent instructions. Now, my plants are overflowing with fruit and all the tomatoes are just delicious. My children walk out and eat the grapes off the vine. My youngest asks if the tomatoes are from our garden before he will eat them. They are that good! Thanks for a wonderful collection and..." more

Pleasantly Surprised
November 11, 2008
By HummingbirdFavorites from Roswell, Georgia
"Being concerned with the drought we're having in the South, I purchased Heat Wave II seeds in 2008 as an "insurance policy" against the summer heat. Of the six varieties that I grew last year, the Heat Wave II tomatoes ripened first and continued to produce until the very end of the growing season. And they're easy to grow. But the texture, consistency and flavor were a pleasant surprise! These are beautiful tomatoes, very meaty with few seeds and a terrific flavor! Most definitely, this was my..." more

"Normally I plant seedlings. This year I tried starting from seed and could not be happier with the results. I used two different methods. For the first , I bought two big pots and threw a handfull of seeds into each one.I had many sprouts but they were overcrowded. They grew so big that I used them ornamentally. As for the second,I germinated single seeds. Then I planted them two feet apart in the garden. The single plants each grew to be bigger than the entire pots of Basil, far exceeding my expectations. Wow! great Zucchini!

"We love this zucchini! We have grown it for 3 years now and it has never failed to produce massive amounts of delicious zucchini. It keeps well and doesn't turn to mush when cooked. The plants are extremely healthy and produce more than you can eat in full sun. The blossoms are huge and the neighbors have stopped by to ask what we are growing. We have kept the neighborhood well-supplied with zucchini. I highly recommend this zucchini!"

The flavor develops early, so this little tomato is great for snacking a week before fully mature, when it becomes very sweet and delicious. I did not know about removing the dead blooms, but I am going to this year, because I want to have them in my house. This Spring I bought Coreopsis -- Early Sunrise to plant with them, since they have the same sun and water requirements. I am hoping they will look as pretty together as I think they will."

"I planted two hills of this amazing burpless cucumber last summer. At the peak of the season, I was picking 8-12 cukes from my two hills almost every day. Not only is this a true burpless cucumber, but the cukes were still crisp and tasty (almost no seeds) even after I found the "hiders" that grew to 14 inches long. Prepare to stake them with something much more rugged than the silly twigs they sell in stores as "plant stakes". A 4x4 inch post is more like it. Or, grow against a fence."
